SSC CPO Posts and Responsibilities – 2018



The SSC CPO 2018 Notification was recently out. The Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct the Central Police Organization (CPO) exam, an open competitive Computer Based Examination for Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub Inspectors in CISF. In today’s post, we will look at the pay scale and job responsibilities of SSC CPO post. Pay scale for each SSC CPO Post

 

  • Sub-Inspector in CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces): Rs.35400-112400/-
  • Sub Inspector (Executive) Male/ Female in Delhi Police: Rs.35400-112400/-
  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF: Rs.29200-92300/-

SSC CPO Post: Job Responsibilities

CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces) comes under the Home Ministry and includes the below-mentioned forces. It is not a direct

  • BSF (Border Security Force)
  • CRPF (Central Reserved Police Force)
  • ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police)
  • SSB (Seema Suraksha Bal)
  • CISF (Central Industrial Security Force)

BSF is responsible for:

  • Protecting the border between India & Pakistan
  • Promoting the sense of security among the citizens
  • Preventing trans-border crimes and assists in the control of refugees

CRPF is responsible for controlling riots & Naxalites.

ITBP is responsible for:

  • Protecting the border between India & China (from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh)
  • Promoting the sense of security among citizens by providing security at northern borders
  • Preventing the violation of border
  • Preventing trans-border smuggling, anti-national activities and illegal immigration

SSB is responsible for:

  • Protecting Indo – Nepal and Indo – Bhutan borders
  • Preventing cross-border crimes, smuggling, and anti-national activities

CISF is responsible for:

  • Providing security to various PSU’s, important infrastructures
  • Protecting the Government infrastructure projects and industrial units

Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police is responsible for maintaining law and order in Delhi
